This 30 acre site is located on the east coast of China adjacent to the city of Quingdao. This master plan consisting of 300,000 sq.m of maritime village development including an urban infrastructure of roads and canals, residential accommodation over retail, commercial, hotel plus retail and leisure buildings creating a truly mixed use development wrapping around the proposed 250 berth 2008 Olympic marina.

The master plan optimises the waterfront potential but focusing tourist related accommodation around waterfront boulevards and public open spaces and by creating a key diagonal site axis connecting landmark office buildings to the marina via an indoor retail mall. The plan is designed in order to enable phased delivery of integrated whole master plan whilst maintaining clear lines of movement and visibility between all parts of the site and the sea.
