The new ‘4 Star’ CityNorth Hotel opened its doors to the public in December 2006.
This is the first hotel to be located on the busy M1 Motorway between Dublin and Belfast and the first part of a large redevelopment plan for Stamullen, to include both commercial and retail development at a later date.
The new hotel comprises of 121 deluxe bedrooms, all with air conditioning and a warm and cosy but sophisticated interior, with flat screen TVs and full 4* facilities. There are also 5no. large executive bedrooms and 2no. penthouse suites with a higher specification fitout out: separate bedroom and lounge, walk-in wardrobe, bathrooms with double wash hand basins and a separate shower and double ended bath. Views from the penthouses stretch towards the coast.
The conference suite is extensive and can cater for a variety of sizes of groups. There are 14 conference rooms and a private business centre for guests. The conference facilities include a variety of display options with 52” plasma screens, mobile plasma screens and drop down screens with projectors. A holding kitchen, separate from the main kitchen, serves the conference suite.
The private resident lounge, with soft lighting and an intimate atmosphere, adds a further bar facility and can be used as an informal meeting room.
There are a further 3no. banqueting suites that have the capacity to accommodate up to 500 guests for dinner. The largest of the banqueting suites, with two fully stocked bars and generous breakout spaces, a separate entrance and direct access from the kitchen, can be divided into two by a folding sliding partition. Each side of the room has a feature modern LED chandelier and a ceiling height of 4500mm. Decoupage hand made wall covering above painted dado height panelling, creates a striking up-market interior.
The main entrance, lobby, bar and restaurant all flow from one area to another where the colour palette, finishes and design features are harmonious. The use of walnut timber, Jura limestone flooring, compatible carpet colours in earthy tones and funky designs, organic shapes and large scale pieces of art and feature fire places creates an attractive modern and stylish atmosphere within a generous layout, which allows the guests to relax and enjoy the comforts of the hotel facilities.
